Once a headset is in the hands of users, real-world feedback becomes an important part of improving the overall experience. Since the launch of Dream Air, we've been paying close attention to how users wear and use the headset across different applications, from sim racing and flight simulation to gaming and social VR.
One of the clearest areas of feedback has been long-session comfort.
In response, we have developed an updated Dream Air face mask with additional cushioning around the forehead and cheek areas, designed to provide better support and a more comfortable fit.
The updated design also provides easier access to the headset's USB Type-C port, giving users more flexibility when connecting compatible accessories.

A More Comfortable Face Mask
Comfort is an important consideration for any VR headset, particularly for PCVR users who may spend extended periods in VR.
Dream Air was designed with a compact form factor and lightweight construction. However, the interface between the headset and the user's face also plays an important role in how comfortable the headset feels over time.
Based on user feedback, we identified the forehead and cheek areas as key areas for further improvement.
Additional Cushioning Around the Forehead and Cheeks
The updated Dream Air face mask adds more cushioning around the forehead and cheek areas.
By increasing the supported contact area, the updated mask helps distribute pressure more evenly across the face.
The cheekbone area received particular attention.
For some users, pressure around the cheekbones can become more noticeable during longer sessions. The additional cushioning in this area provides a softer contact point and helps reduce concentrated pressure.
In practical use, the increased cushioning makes the pressure around the cheekbones feel noticeably more comfortable, particularly during extended VR sessions.
The objective is simple:
to create a more balanced and comfortable interface between the headset and the user's face.
This update is based directly on feedback from users and is intended to improve the everyday wearing experience without changing the core design philosophy of Dream Air.
Improved Access to the USB Type-C Port
The updated face mask also improves access to Dream Air's USB Type-C port.
The port can be used for compatible audio devices and, depending on the accessory's power and data requirements, other compatible USB-C VR peripherals.

This can be particularly useful for users who build customized VR setups.

Once your address is confirmed, we’ll arrange shipment of the updated face mask.
