SteamVR Setup
Get from box to VR in under 30 minutes. Follow these six steps to configure your Pimax headset with SteamVR.
Six steps to your first session.
Install Pimax Play
Download and install Pimax Play from the Pimax website. Run the installer and follow the setup wizard to completion.
Connect your headset
Plug the USB-C data cable and DisplayPort cable from your headset into your PC. Ensure your GPU supports DP 1.4.
Pair in Pimax Play
Open Pimax Play. Your headset will appear automatically. Follow the in-app pairing steps and firmware update if prompted.
Install SteamVR
Open Steam and install SteamVR from the library. Pimax Play automatically installs the Pimax SteamVR driver during setup.
Configure play space
Launch SteamVR. Follow the room setup guide to define your play area. Seated, standing, or room-scale all supported.
Launch a game
Open any SteamVR-compatible game. Adjust render resolution and refresh rate in Pimax Play to suit your GPU and preferences.
