CRYSTAL PRO
When is the Crystal Pro set to ship?
Hands-on demos start in Q4 2026. Shipping starts in 2027.
How do I reserve one?
Reserve your Crystal Pro for $1 and get $20 off at launch, or $50 off the Crystal Pro bundle with third-gen 60G Airlink.
How much will it cost?
The Crystal Pro is $1,399. The Crystal Pro bundle with 60G Airlink (third generation) is $1,899. Reserve now for $1 to get $20 off the headset at launch, or $50 off the bundle.
Is the Crystal Pro a standalone headset?
Yes and no. The Crystal Pro is a PC VR headset, built to play PC VR wirelessly. Without a PC, you can run many applications, including Android and OpenXR mobile titles, or, for instance, watch films on a plane or in a hotel room.
Can I still play wired?
Yes. Connect via DisplayPort over a single USB cable, the same way as the Crystal Light and Crystal Super. Wired, the panels run at their full 120 Hz.
Does it support Lighthouse tracking?
Yes, through a swappable faceplate, and it works in wireless mode too. That makes the Crystal Pro the only wireless headset on the market with Lighthouse support.
Does it have passthrough / mixed reality?
Yes. The MR cover adds LIDAR and full-color passthrough.
Are prescription lenses available?
Yes, official prescription lenses will be available.
What about audio?
The headset has three microphones: two for voice and one for noise cancelling. The redesigned DMAS 2.0 earphones are available as an optional extra and are lighter than before.
What else is new in the design?
Three customizable buttons, a hard backstrap, a magnetic facemask with foam, an eye-relief adjustment, and active cooling.
What is in the set when purchased on pimax.com?
The Crystal Pro comes with 2 ringed controllers, an external battery, and a Wi-Fi dongle. The 60G Airlink (third-gen) is an optional upgrade and is sold either as a bundle or a separate add-on.
WI-FI AND 60G AIRLINK (THIRD GENERATION)
What wireless options are there?
Wi-Fi streaming comes standard: the headset has a Wi-Fi chip built in, and a USB Wi-Fi dongle is included in the box. 60G Airlink (third generation) is an optional paid upgrade.
What does 60G Airlink add?
Up to 6 Gbps of bandwidth. The area you focus on arrives uncompressed, straight from the GPU. It is the GPU's own image, delivered wirelessly.
What is in the 60G Airlink kit?
Two Room Antennas that you place in your play space, two antennas that slot onto the headset, and two USB-C cables.
How large can my play area be?
With the right setup, the headset can cover a five-by-five-meter playspace, fast and stable.
What happens if the 60G signal drops?
60G Airlink (third generation) is built to keep the signal from dropping in the first place.
On top of that, 60G Airlink uses MIMO: the two Room Antennas and the headset form two signal paths at the same time. When both paths are clear, they carry data side by side for maximum bandwidth. If your arm or body blocks one path, the other takes over and keeps the connection going. If the 60G signal is lost entirely, Wi-Fi keeps you connected as a fallback.

During setup, you place the two Room Antennas facing each other across your play space, and Pimax Play walks you through the positioning.
The antennas on the headset aim themselves. Instead of broadcasting into the whole room, they form a narrow beam pointed straight at the Room Antennas. The headset and the Room Antennas track their position relative to each other with infrared LEDs, so as you move, turn or lean, the beam re-aims to follow. Nothing physically moves: the beam is steered electronically, by changing the timing of the signal across a set of small fixed antenna elements, and it re-aims faster than you can move.

How does Native Foveated Streaming work?
Your eyes only see sharp detail in a small area at the center of your gaze. Native Foveated Streaming is built around that. The area you focus on is sent uncompressed, straight from the GPU, so what you look at is the GPU's own image, delivered wirelessly. The rest of the view is streamed more efficiently, where your eye doesn't notice the difference. You get full image quality where it matters, without a video codec softening the part you are looking at.
It takes the whole chain, from the PC to your eyes:
1. The GPU in your PC renders the full frame, as it does for any PC VR headset.
2. On the PC, Pimax software takes the focus area directly from the GPU's output, pixel for pixel, with no encoding step.
3. 60G Airlink (third generation) carries it. The 60 GHz band has far wider channels than Wi-Fi, which gives up to 6 Gbps of bandwidth: enough to send raw pixels instead of a compressed video stream.
4. The Room Antennas and the antennas on the headset use MIMO, forming multiple signal paths at once. 60 GHz is fast but short-range and easily blocked, so multiple paths keep the connection stable when you turn your head or raise an arm.
5. In the headset, the processor combines the uncompressed focus area and the rest of the view into one image and sends it to the panels.
6. Eye tracking follows where you look, so the uncompressed area moves with your gaze.
Without 60 GHz bandwidth, the whole image would have to be compressed to fit through the connection, as it is on Wi-Fi-only headsets. That is the difference Native Foveated Streaming makes.

Does the Wi-Fi dongle work with my older Pimax headset?
It works with the original Crystal. It does not work with the Crystal Light or Crystal Super.
How much does the 60G Airlink kit cost?
$599, sold separately. It is also available bundled with the Crystal Pro for $1,899.
PIMAX RINGLESS VR CONTROLLERS
Are the new controllers compatible with my Crystal Light, Crystal Super, Dream Air and Dream Air SE?
Yes!
How do they track without a ring?
Infrared LEDs on the controllers are read by the headset cameras. A motion sensor streams over 2.4 GHz, and both are combined with wrist pose detection and AI prediction, with latency under 15 ms.
Can I use them as a gamepad?
Yes. The two halves clip together into a single gamepad, which works on Windows and Steam without a headset. The layout is familiar: D-pad on the left, four action buttons on the right.
Will the joysticks drift?
They use TMR joysticks, which are built to resist stick drift.
What kind of haptics do they have?
A precision linear haptic motor, for clearer and more varied feedback.
How long does the battery last?
710 mAh, up to 40 hours of use, charged over USB-C.
What buttons do they have?
Grip, trigger, menu and Pi button, plus the D-pad and four action buttons in gamepad layout.
PIMAX SPATION
What is the Spation?
A compact desktop PC built for high-end VR. It uses a desktop CPU and GPU and fits in a blade-sized chassis no thicker than a dual-slot graphics card.
What are the specs?

Will it run Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 in VR?
That is the bar it was built for: a long flight sim session at VR resolution, held smooth.
Can I upgrade it?
Yes. Storage, memory and graphics are upgradeable with standard parts.
What is the DIY option?
We supply the Spation, and you bring your own motherboard and GPU.
Does it work with 60G Airlink?
